Curtis & Mary carter

Curtis and Mary Carter were led by The Holy Spirit to The Door Christian Church in 2018, to learn from Pastor Adam & Beth Stephens and to serve the people of God. In that time serving at The Door they have been asked to lead the children’s church, started a ministry to feed and minister to the local homeless population of Katy Texas, and Lead bible study from their home.
Curtis and Mary Carter feel they are called by God to become full time missionaries to Africa.
Before his salvation, Curtis lived a life characterized by drinking, partying, and the accumulation of wealth. It wasn’t until he was invited to a church service by his persistent neighbor that he felt the conviction of God for the first time in his life, he felt the weight of the sin-filled life he had been living. That very day he repented at the Altar and truly gave his life to Lord Jesus.
Mary came to the U.S. in 1990’s and prior to her salvation, she went through an abusive relationship, which led to her living in fear and afraid to trust anyone. This in turn led to a life of anger & bitterness. Upon her accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior of her life, Mary experienced emotional healing, joy and a new purpose in life. Mary relocated to Texas by God’s direction shortly after her salvation.
Curtis and Mary met and the two became one in 2015. With a new purpose to pursue the work of God together and to share this hope in Jesus Christ with others.
